Double the Sunggyu, Double the Fun

There could never be enough Kim Sunggyu around here and apparently, people over at LOEN TV agrees with me. Not only do we get an interview of him, he gets to interview himself. Weird? Yes. Awesome? Totally.

Sorry I haven't been writing about dramas and movies and such. I've been bombed by finals (it's still going and killing me bit by bit) so I haven't been able to add too many to my list of watchings. I've been watching Can We Get Married? and find it quite refreshing. If anyone is interested on a mid-point review I could do that. Or I'll just make an overall review. You know, to be thorough.

Back to Sunggyu, an interview of himself just isn't enough. Earlier this week Woollim Entertainment released a music video for yet another track off the Another Me album. This time, soft rock title 'I Need You'. Nothing revolutionary about the music video. Aside from me realizing my hatred for his fiery red head. It looks so garish in this video, more than ever. Maybe because of the color editing? Nonetheless it fulfilled a void in myself I never knew I had.

And if anyone else needs more mending, much earlier the "band version" of '60 Seconds' was released. Basically no awkward acting and just Sunggyu rocking it out with his little band.

  1. I swear, there must be a particular shade of hair dye called 'Idol Red' as at least one guy from almost every kpop band has that hair at some point. I've been watching it trade heads on my boys from Block B - most of them do not suit the look at all..

    1. I know right? And it goes beyond somewhat normal people hair. Blue, purple, pink. Has anyone put on green yet?

    2. Big Bang's Daesung seems to have green hair now by looking at their performance on SBS Gayo Daejun.

    3. I think you must have been prophetic^^ I kind of like Daesung's green hair though.. And, it certainly is different. Lol

    4. Really? Whoa... Didn't know it would come this soon. But I guess with the current trends it should be happening. Since all, if not most, colors of the rainbow have been tried, a crazy rainbow hair? Although that might turn them into official clowns but you'll never know?

Apart from "41 days","I Need You" is my fav track from the album,so i was realli glad to see the MV realease.I seem to be in da minority few who likes Sunggyu in red hair. :-) . Bt i also think Dongwoo caries of this hair colour better in BTD era.Heck even Sungjung looked manly with his hairdo in BTD.
All da best for your finals. Mine just got over,so hang in dere. :-)

    1. Dongwoo is probably one of the rare few people who can pull off red. I loved red on him. Fits him like a t.
Aw... thank you so much! I will try my best to survive finals.
And thanks so much for coming by my blog :) I appreciate it a lot.

  3. I'm not really familiar with Infinite, aside from Hoya's and L's drama roles. But some while ago I listened to "The Chaser" and totally love that song (the song was chosen as the best K-pop song in 2012 by Billboard, too). I like their vocals quite a lot. And now listening to Sunggyu's solo releases, I find them very enjoyable.

    1. Yay! Welcome to the club. They really are nice, right? Do you have any recommendations on newer bands though? I seem to be falling behind on the massive tidal wave of new debuts. Or older bands I guess. Or any bands, or singers. I may need to expand my horizon.

    2. Well, as I usually only like a couple of songs from a certain band, I wouldn't dare to recommend anyone specifically as I'm not familiar with your taste.
I myself only fangirl over Big Bang and Epik High, and maybe CN Blue and FT Island too. And Busker Busker and 10cm are also quite nice to listen to. But I also think we had quite a few promising rookie bands this year - EXO, B.A.P. and Block B. So you might check them out. Among female groups I liked Wonder Girls', SISTAR, Sunny Hill and Miss A this year, but mostly just a couple of songs from them.
Since I don't know your taste I would rather recommend you to follow weekly K-pop charts in Youtube. That way you always know who has a new song out. Wendyjanine's channel counts TOP 30 songs in K-pop charts every week, so I'd recommend to follow it if you haven't already. Oh, I think she now has a new account for the weekly K-pop charts, called krungpopwendy01.

    3. Oh thanks! I've been straying away from Kpop recently. I want to try it again but the amount that's out there is too overwhelming. Maybe that should be one of my new year's revolution: listen to more Kpop. Or at least write about it more.

    4. I'll second Block B! I only started seriously listening to Kpop back in September. I'm still quite behind, but every few weeks I would pick a different group to focus on, to see if I really liked them a lot, or else I'd move on, pick a new group to 'study.' :)
