Review: Beauty Inside (2015)

Sometimes one would wonder what it would be like to live in another person's body just once. For a man named Woo-jin, this was his life and simultaneously his nightmare. So when he finds the woman he loves, it becomes a struggle to keep their relationship and, just like the title of the film, seek the Beauty Inside.

A Selection of Recent News of Jo Seung-woo

It's time to see what's happening with my favorite ajusshi, Mr. Jo Seung-woo. I feel like it's my unofficial duty to update of his news, although punctuality is not my strongest suit. Nonetheless, all of these are good news (although there is a rather unpleasant one in the near past but let's not dive into the negatives) and some are exciting to say the least. If anything, there's a lot of new very pretty pictures of the man. Ideally, each of these news bit should be its own post during the time it was announced but what has passed has passed. Let's enjoy the pretty anyways.

Where Have I Been?

Yeah, yeah, I know. It's been too often of an occurrence that I've gone MIA on this blog. I apologize. Life has been bullying me for the past few months. Not exactly sure if that's ever going to go away, but I'll try to visit this blog more than just once every couple of months now.

Getting cozy with Choi Woo-shik

I'm breaking my blogger silence (which is inexcusable, but hopefully you'll understand) to share with you some really nice pictures of actor Choi Woo-shik from his photo shoot for Ceci magazine. The spread also features actress Jang Hee-ryung.

Drama Review: In Time with You

It has been a seriously long while (I totally missed out on June!) and I have no excuses. But let's not spend too much time dwelling in the negatives because this is We eat lemon's 200th post! Wow, it's been a really long time. Why did I skip 100, you ask? No idea. Probably just forgot (this is the 100th post, by the way. Super random). Since this time I remembered, let's have a moment to celebrate. And what better way than talking about something I've never talked about on this blog which are Taiwanese dramas. Specifically, a particularly well-made one named In Time with You.

51st Baeksang Awards Winners

The 51st Baeksang Awards was held last night and what an exciting night it was! While I wasn't able to watch the show myself, I was able to experience the surprising night thanks to a few friends Shura and Mimi. It was a great year for both the film and television categories and despite some of my chosen favorites didn't win, I couldn't say it was terrible because the actual winners are really good themselves too. And while I'm at it, let's how well I fared in the winner-prediction game.

51st Baeksang Awards Predictions

The 51st Baeksang Awards is happening tomorrow night. This is one of the biggest, if not the biggest, entertainment awards ceremony in South Korea as it encompasses both TV and film (when it's usually separated). I talked about Baeksang once a few years ago and made the mistake of predicting winners when I knew absolutely nothing. Well, maybe mistake is a bit harsh, but it wasn't the best decision. But this year I made it a mission to watch as many Baeksang nominated works as I can so I can say stuff and feel justified because I actually watched them. Now, because of limited time, I was only able to watch the film categories, and not even all because lack of availability. For dramas, I'll just gauge them off of the reviews I've read from other bloggers and commenters online.

Drama Review: The Girl Who Sees Smells

This drama took over my life the past 2 months. Okay, that may be an exaggeration. But I have a feeling this drama might be one of the more memorable dramas of the year, at least in the couples category. And for all the stupidity happening in the drama, The Girl Who Sees Smells moved my heart just a tad more than I'm personally comfortable of dealing with.

My Most Played K-pop Songs

I've been wanting to write something on the blog for a while but don't really know what. I've actually been working on something (hint: 51st Baeksang Awards) but I want to be as thorough as I can, at least in the film category. So in the mean time, I thought I can talk about a topic I used to talk about a lot in this blog which is K-pop. I actually used to write more about K-pop than K-dramas but I haven't listened to much music in general these days. So I thought it'll be interesting to write about my most played K-pop songs just for the fun of it. Also, the songs featured here may not be my current favorites, mostly because I listened to them a lot at the time while I haven't listened to the newer ones as much.

Spring and Summer Romcoms

Spring and summer is usually my favorite season drama-wise since lots of romantic comedies come out around this time of the year. It's the perfect season when the flowers are blooming and the birds are chirping. It's the right time for romance, especially those of the comedic kind. So I thought it'll be nice to tell you some of the dramas I'm watching or are looking forward to watching in the upcoming months, I guess sort of as a check in of sorts.

Drama Review: Hogu's Love

I'd like to think I'm the type of viewer that seeks out cute and fluffy kdrama affairs. Mostly because, well, they're adorable but also because I don't want to cry after a long day. I'm happy to say that kdrama has a lot of them and Hogu's Love can sit among the lovable attendees.

Drama Review: Kill Me, Heal Me

I was a little surprised when I realized that Kill Me Heal Me is my first finished drama of 2015. It's already the end of March, and I thought I've been watching a lot of dramas (which apparently I'm not). But maybe that's my fault. Personal stories aside, Kill Me was like a creature in its own turf, doing its own damn thing, and us mere mortals are there to witness its glory. At least that's what's going on in my brain with each and every episode.

Drama Review: Healer

It's been about a week since I finished Healer and I still have trouble with what I should write about it. But I'm determined to review this beast once and for all. Mostly because I've made it a mission to review all the dramas I've watched (in the present/future). But also because Healer ran away with being a phenomenon on its own.

Yoo Seung-ho Reminisces Love in Naul's 'You From the Same Time'

Oh look who's back! Everyone's favorite former child actor and recently returned Yoo Seung-ho brings his face back on screen, if not for a short-ish time, to star in Naul of Brown Eyed Soul's new single, 'You From the Same Time' where you can stare deeply into his eyes quite literally.

Yeon Woo-jin and Jo Yeo-jung for Divorce Lawyers in Love

Work-setting dramas aren't new around dramaland, so the premise for new SBS weekend drama Divorce Lawyers in Love isn't what anyone would call groundbreaking. But who cares, since Yeon Woo-jin is coming back on screen. No need for another reason.

Drama Review: Misaeng

It's better late than never, especially true when a work is fantastic. And it seems like, for 2014, nothing was better than the tvN cable drama Misaeng (aside from It's Okay, That's Love but I'm not the consensus it seems). This was the drama that took Korea by storm, turning usually drama-ignorant citizens into fervent weekly watchers. The drama diverges from the usual light-hearted rom-com fare and instead situated itself into the grueling world of corporate life. The title says it all. Misaeng means incomplete life, and through this drama, it has been nothing but confirmed. While the stories were often debilitating, the satisfaction level proved it to be worthwhile.

Mid-January Drama Watches

I didn't think 2015 will be any different to 2014 since mostly no expectations. But turns out, it's been fantastic so far! So fantastic that I almost lose footing to everything else going on around me. I usually write first impressions of my watching (most of the time), but since there are a few really good ones I've been watching, might as well talk about it in one post. I’ll tell my story in chronological order, since it makes the most sense that way.

Reply Series Dials Back to 1988

There's no stopping director Shin Won-ho and the Reply team. After the massive successes of the first two installments of the Reply series, it seems that the ball is rolling for a third season (reportedly) set in the year of 1988 slated for the summer season. I can't deny I'm a little excited for this new one.

2014 Drama Recap

Happy new year, everyone! A year has passed, and it's perfect time to reminisce on all the things that happened in 2014. K-drama things, that is. So welcome one and all to We Eat Lemon's first year end recap after 4 years of existing. How exciting. There are a few things I need to say so let's get on to it!
